I really enjoyed all the healthy recipes included and I can't wait to try them out. They look delicious! There is also a lot of great advice for how to stay healthy and make the most of your Ramadan. This is a really good reminder for all of us, because it's so easy to get caught up in cooking all sorts of fancy (unhealthy) foods and going to iftar parties and such that we can really lose sight of what Ramadan is all about--which is to get closer to Allah (swt). Jazak Allah khair for the wonderful book!

And it definitely has many contemporary recipes with easily accessible items already found in the fridge or pantry. It's ultimately health-conscious with beans, legume and meat based to pack proteins and fiber although I don't agree with over usage of processed meats.It doesn't list the caloric contents of the recipes. Another thing which would have made it better is to address some of the dietary restrictions or difficulties people might have outside of just adding halal meat or cheese. Many diabetics who want to fast would not benefit from this book or even the more severe cases of celiac or mcad etc. I don't advise my patients to fast or not to fast but often reference them for a dietary consult. I suppose it would be too much to ask from a $3 book but it sure would have been nice to have some of that covered here.Overall many wonderful recipes for a healthy able bodied person with a strong resolve and definitely a step in the positive direction to benefit many even outside of Ramadan!
