The book includes safety rules and discussion questions put together by an experienced classroom teacher in helping parents and children respect the power of electricity.

Another adorable adventure for the Sockkids By Selena Robins The SOCKKIDS continue to entertain children with their time traveling adventures in the spin cycle. This time, one of the Socker's kids time travel has him meeting up with Ben Franklin.Ben Franklin is flying his kite, when he feels something crawling on his leg ( a bug), thanks to the sock kid's antics. Children will certainly get a kick out of this as they laugh along with the Sock Kid.From there, Ben and the sock create a bond, and in doing that, through the actions and dialogue between Ben and the Sock Kid, children will learn about Ben Franklin, his invention and electricity.The story is weaved in a way so that it doesn't read like a history lesson, but more of a comedic, fun adventure (which I feel is important for children to enjoy any story and at the same time, they are learning without realizing it). This is a fun read with (once again) beautifully animated illustrations, colorful and dynamic.Adults and children will giggle at this adventure, while learning about electrical safety, and will open the dialogue between adult and child about electrical hazards and safety practices around the home in a language that children can understand and relate to.Well done! The SOCKKIDS continue to capture the children's heart and imagination.

This time a sock goes back in time and winds up on the foot of Ben Franklin as he is flying his famous kite. My son thought it was very funny that the sock made a bug go up Ben's leg! He's still giggling. He says five stars.

Fun, Educational, and Helpful – Another Terrific Book of The Series By Laurie Kozlowski | Book Escape Reviews It was a pleasure to share with my daughter another one of The Sockkids adventures before tucking her in at night. This series has become a fast favorite for the both of us, and I always enjoy and appreciate the diverse routes The Sockkids take to reach their audience. They have put together entertaining storyboards (short videos on YouTube) that tell the story - in addition to the books - and those come in handy to calm my daughter down before bedtime so we can read the book. Of course, although the videos are amazing (because the illustrations are always excellent in this series), our favorite way to enjoy the Sockkids stories are through reading their books.In The Sockkids Meet Ben Franklin, Sudsy goes back in time to meet Ben Franklin when he discovers electricity. Through Sudsy’s rebellious and fun-loving spirit, kids learn about electrical safety in this adventurous story filled with fun conversation between he, Ben Franklin, and his family. There are also bonus reads for parents and kids on safety tips and discussion activities toward the end of the book. Very fun, educational, and helpful. Once again, a delight to read.Laurie Kozlowski
