About the Author Aircraft was Roger Williams' first love, and he joined the de Havilland Aircraft Company where he quickly added motorcars to his list of prime interests. During the ensuing six years he not only completed his apprenticeship and studies, but also built two Ford-based specials. and in 1986 he started his own consultancy business, which allowed him to restore numerous MGBs, a Triumph TR6 and a Triumph Stag, and to write several MGB and Triumph TR books.

Farris The "wedge" has always been the ugly stepchild of the British Sportcar family -- hence the few available books. Williams' book takes the point of view of restoring and keeping these cars on the road. It's not for the owner seeking concours information but the average owner will find all the right sections on uprating brakes, suspension, engine rebuilds, body shell repair and tuning. Particularly welcome are the chapters on Fuel Injection and the famous popup headlights -- common problem areas with heretofore few repair guides.Every TR7/8 owner should have this book alongside the standard manuals. Resources recommended by Williams tend to be British and so North American owners will have to rely on the web to find suppliers.Overall first class and highly recommended.

Perry If you are crazy enough to be restoring a Triumph TR7 or TR8, you need this book.The information is very well presented. The photographs are excellent and, for the most part, illustrate how things go together. I found the section on restoring the chassis particularly informative and was amazed how much chassis corrosion someone will try and fix on a TR7 in the UK.My only criticism is that since it was written in the UK, the recommended products and tools for some of the jobs are not generally available in the US.

Wish I had it when I started my rebuild. Combined with the Haynes book, they cover everything you want to know.If this book had a complete wiring diagram, it would be perfect!jct

Based on understanding of this context, extension models and methods by private companies receive deeper analysis and definition in the next section. About the Author Yuan ZhouHead of Research and Policy Analysis - Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable AgricultureYuan Zhou brings experience in environmental economics and water management. She has worked on a range of interdisciplinary projects in developing countries including economics and management of water resources, cost evaluation of water treatment and desalination technologies, integrated studies on water/food/environment relations, and rural development issues. Yuan holds a PhD in environmental economics from University of Hamburg and previously worked as a researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and TechnologySuresh C Babu is a Senior Research Fellow and Head of Capacity Strengthening at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Washington D.C. Before joining IFPRI in 1992 as a Research Fellow, Dr. Babu was a Research Economist at the Division of Nutritional Sciences, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Between 1989 and 1994 he spent 5 years in Malawi, Southern Africa on various capacities. He was Senior Food Policy Advisor to the Malawi Ministry of Agriculture on developing a national level Food and Nutrition Information System; an Evaluation Economist for the UNICEF-Malawi working on designing food and nutrition intervention programs; Coordinator of UNICEF/IFPRI food security program in Malawi; and a Senior Lecturer at the Bunda College of Agriculture, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANR). He has been coordinator of IFPRI’s South Asia Initiative and Central Asia Program. His past research covers a range of developmental issues including nutrition economics and policy, economics of soil fertility, famine prevention, market integration, migration, pesticide pollution, groundwater depletion, and gender bias in development. He has published more than 18 books and monographs and 80 peer reviewed journal papers. He has been on the advisory board of World Agricultural Forum and a Coordinating Lead Author of Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. Of questionable worth By tom abeles Farmers, globally, developed and developing countries, get their information first from progressive neighbors and then from those who supply input from seeds and fertilizer to equipment and markets. Past research has shown this and it is reinforced in almost a footnote in this volume. That said, if the authors had followed through on this idea we would have a decent monograph or long review publication. Unfortunately the authors chose to use the old selective case study approach and padded it with figures and graphs which fail to fully articulate what the reader could have learned by a synthesis. It seems like a student research paper culling the literature rather than a substantive analysis of what this means except short "lessons learned" type summaries. if you work in the regions from which these cases were extracted you might find items of interest. If you want to know about the idea behind the trends in knowledge supporting agriculture there is little to be gleaned in understanding how the various knowledge sectors support agriculture from major multinationals with their research and field work to distributors, CGIAR researchers, NGO's, marketers and their different approaches in a global economy.

I recommend this book to all of you readers out there By Pat Many times in life you come come across words and expressions that leave a lasting footprint on your Heart, Mind and Spirit. Dare I Express It I & II is one of those books of poetry that have you doing a lot of self evaluation. The words appear to take on a life of there own and without you even realizing it you are reevaluating the way that you see and live life.The words are riveting and thought provoking.Do we follow the beat of our own drum or the beat of the world. How humble are we ? I recommend this book to all of you readers out there, you wont be disappointed. To the authors remember GOD IS IN CONTROL. I anxiously await Volume 3.

What i enjoyed was the fact that here is a man willing to face his reality & hold hisself accountable for his choices , in a public forum . It's very attractive & refreshing to have such honesty shared by a man . Integrity is so very important and not as valued as it once was.His words speak to & feels like they come from his heart. Which can only bring forth healing for his mind & soul . And also allows others to be less afraid & to understand that there comes a time in your life when you have to allow transparency in order to reach that next level in your life .The level that God has purposed you for . So i commend this brother for standig in his truth & allowing us in through his poetry & writings . It builds character ! Awesome Many Blessings !

I thought that this is one of the best books describing the maritime history in the 17th and 18th Century in the rivalry for naval supremacy between France and England. This book is a must for anyone who is passionate about this period of maritime history. Beautifully written, fantastic images, and very useful detail in describing what it took to build and sail the vessels that changed world history.

By Amazon Customer Squeaking By is not like any novel I've read before.The narrator begins his story as a young boy, not just reflecting on the past but narrating in the moment. The writer does a great job of making the narrator sound like a youth is actually telling the story without sounding juvenile, which is something I find very interesting as a writer myself. The story continues all the way into the narrators adulthood.Being a person who has had no personal experience with Tourette Syndrome other than having few friends who live with it, ("I swear I'm listening to you and I'm interested in what you have to say, I just roll my eyes because I have Tourette Syndrome.") reading this novel gave me a brand new look into what life is like for someone who lives with it. This novel provides a first person account of what it's like to experience it for the first time, grow up with it, deal with it and how it effects a persons social life and more. It was really eye opening.That's the wonderful thing about literature. You can pick any topic to read about and find yourself enlightened.I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this novel, and it certainlty gave me an oppertunity to reevaluate how I see the world and the people who live in it with all of their complexities and unique traits.As much as I love a good YA novel (I'm in my twenties haha), it's refreshing to read a book that isn't centered on the same rehashing of some young love story.This novel stays true to the real world. As a kid, the narrator deals with issues any child would experience, but this time magnified by undiagnosed Tourette Syndrome. He grows up. He's a teen. You can imagine what a teen who is trying to be just that would feel like with undiagnosd Tourette Syndrome. Then, as an adult.Things can get extremly awkward, and the language is completly honest and doesn't really hold back. It's blunt but it needs to be.We take a lot for granted in life. We take not making uncalled for noises for granted, we take not having unorthadox and embaressing twitches for granted. We take a lot for granted and we dont realize it until we sit down with a book like Squeaking By. Brian Jaffe has done us a good service by writing this novel.Even in today's progresive world, we can still find people online making insensitive and ignorant jokes about mental health. "Wow, I totally have Tourette's today. I cant stop shaking my leg." "God, I'm so emo today," and so on. It's novels like these that may actually help the world view disorders in a new light.Highly reccomended to EVERYONE. Must read.

By Steve I remember in college sitting around a table at the local watering hole drinking boutique beers with fellow students and regaling each other with our miserable childhoods. Each story seemed more horrid and I was amazed how we endured. What he went through as a child is incomprehensible! Most people who write memoirs make themselves look pretty good. Not Brian. Every story, every agonizing embarrassing moment rings true, even if he shines unflattering, harsh light on himself. The book reads like Brian is sitting across from you at that college table watering hole telling his story, which makes it intimate and compelling. Given the subject matter, one would think the book is a tissue box read. That would be a misdiagnosis. I found myself laughing out loud more often than not.A platitude rightly states, “If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger.” So if you have the pleasure of meeting Brian Jaffe, you are meeting the heavyweight champion of the world.

This book reads like a collection of notes that someone who is not a native English speaker pounded out on a laptop in 2 hours without the benefit of an editor to correct spelling and grammar or to help organize it logically.The recipes have some value, and are pretty simple, as promised in the title. Some are missing measurements, or the unit of measurement (like, "1/8 fennel seeds" -- is that 1/8 teaspoon?). In the list of carbohydrate portions, there is an entry for "oats (street-cut)"... Um, I certainly hope my oats aren't "street cut"; but I have heard of "steel cut" oats. I will probably use some of the recipes for ideas, but the author would have been smart to organize them in "low carb" and "high carb" categories, or at minimum he should have stated this at the beginning of each recipe (or whether it is flexible, allowing for both). If someone is new to carb cycling, this is important information and is the kind of categorization that a reader will be looking for. In some cases, the recipe never says at all; in other cases, the final "step" of the recipe might be: "7. This is good for high carb days." That is not a cooking step; it should have been noted in the description. Some recipes say silly things like, "Lemon juice (or you may use lime juice instead, depending on what is available)." Do grocery stores in the author's area carry either lemons or limes but never both? Just say "lemon or lime juice." Odd!

A big plus with this plan is that there are cycle variations, so although you alternate high carb and low carb days, so you can still eat your favorite foods and don’t have to swear off carbs completely. The list of “allowed” foods is pretty extensive, and a good variety of recipes are provided. The baked turkey meatballs are really tasty.

Do not be food deprived, enjoy your diet journey By Tim Clerk Starting with a new diet and changing your old way of eating is a huge challenge on its own. The Carb cycling diet seems to be an very exciting and rewarding diet that does not leave you food deprived! It works on low-card and high-card days cycling between them, on the high carb days you can reward your self by eating your favorite foods. Great recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner are all easy to follow and tasty even for the fact that it is low-carb. Personally I think with this rewarding system one will not easily fail with this diet and reach your ideal weight in no time!

Good reading the life of a great lady through her childhood into adulthood. Interesting times and her perseverance through it all. When I began to read the book, it was hard to put down, I only put it down one time before finishing. I recommend " Lillie, A Motherless Child" to all.

It is special, as I know the author & her Mom. It is nice to read of her continued beliefs in the Christian way. I enjoyed the read & admire Lillie.
