Radzicki As a Long Islander I was familiar with the wine industry with regard to the products, but not so much with the history or the reason the wine makers do what they do. This book provides the reader with a history of the region to go along with the stories of how each of the winemakers came to discover the region. Ms. Duffy finds a way to bring the passion of the people she interviewed for this book to life, and as someone who is familiar with the times and places being discussed in the book, it made me appreciate what I and my fellow Long Islanders have in our backyards even more. If you want to know immerse yourself in the Long Island wine experience, do as I did and drink it as you read this book. You will not be disappointed by either one.
