The older I’ve gotten, the more like Dad I’ve become. I often find myself sitting at our kitchen table doing what Dad used to do. I can see him in my behavior. About the Author Bob Vásquez is currently the course director for the freshman seminar Vital Effective Character through Observation and Reflection! (VECTOR!), offered through the US Air Force Academy’s Center for Character Development. He served in the Air Force for more than 30 years before retiring on 1 November 2002. A proud member of the Air Force Academy’s team since 16 November 2002, Bob is also an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He’s the author of several books on the subject of leadership, among those are Heirpower! Eight Basic Habits of Exceptionally Powerful Lieutenants and So Ya Wanna Be THE Chief?! Twelve Lessons in Servant Leadership, receiving many accolades from enlisted, officer, and civilian readers throughout the Air Force.
