About the Author Alan Hoffler has used his gift of teaching as a public high school teacher and coach, a college instructor, a corporate trainer, and a long-time Sunday School teacher. He left the corporate world and started his own business in 2008 to use his passion for teaching to help others communicate more effectively. He is a licensed commercial pilot, an avid college football fan, a youth sports advocate, and a hobbyist photographer. He and Haley, his wife of 17 years, thoroughly enjoy the most challenging of all teaching endeavors—their two children.
Dr. Eric Hoffler received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida before completing his pediatric training at the Medical College of Virginia, and has practiced general pediatrics for 24 years in Fayetteville, Georgia. He and Cheryl, his wife of 29 years, have five adult children. He is active as an elder in his church and has participated in over 30 medical missions trips in ten different countries. Influenced by a great mentor from his high school church youth group, Eric has taught and led youth and adult groups locally and abroad. In addition to his family, Eric enjoys photography, gardening, travel (he’s been to all 50 states and 27 countries!), hunting, classical music, and chocolate.

Becoming a legacy with the help of a beautiful wife By Mike & Pat Kinney The Hoffler brothers, Mark and Eric, take Mark Trevor through life’s journey in 6 Steps Forward Every Man Matters. The book is a humorous story of Mark Trevor creating his legacy. Mark has three career changes. It’s enjoyable as he builds his marriage, career and family. It’s painful as Mark shortchanges his family to build wealth. The high lifestyle becomes unemployment and debt. The most lovable character is Mark’s rebel brother. The former drug addict teaches Mark to become a connector. It’s a good story as Mark builds friendships, family, community and love. This book provides keen insights into becoming a legacy with the help of a beautiful wife.

By Amazon Customer For Me, the book, 6 Steps Forward was not a one time read but a three time read in order to process Mark's Journey through life from a woman's point of view. First impressions,since written by two brothers, is a" Cat's Cradle"man journey but I found it to remind me of my own journey, as a woman now in her eighties , of the life bullet points of my own. I could empathize with Marks wife Maria and her struggles with her marriage and motherhood not always understood by her mate. By Amazon Customer This book is a great read for anyone that has experienced the roller coaster ride called "Life". You will want to secure your seat belt as the opening pages detail a climb to the "top of the world", followed by the steep drop of failures and a family in shambles!
