3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. 5 Stars By Emily S Jen writes candidly about the pursuit and realization of her goal of becoming a mother and subsequently, turning her family of 3 into a family of 4. The ups and downs and all-arounds of her journey will be familiar to anyone struggling with any sort of infertility and/or grief and devastation of miscarriage. Her book opens the door for a conversation and allows for more open and honest discussion of these subjects which, far too often, are neglected and even assumed to be forbidden in society today. Reading this book from the perspective of a woman with several first trimester miscarriages and having experienced angst over the process of trying to conceive a second child, I applaud Jen's courage to put her story on paper. Jen's ability to 'bare it all' gives permission for those of us in this situation to tell our own stories and share with those around us how difficult, heartbreaking, and isolating the journey can seem. I feel honored to have been given an advanced copy of this book and to have the opportunity to share this review.
