This is an absolute must for people involved in the Rio Grande, and in water resources in general. Very fairly priced at $25 too.

A fascinating history of the Rio Grande, plus some very interesting side stories and twists of language. Loved it.However, it does make me even more concerned about the water situation out west. It's not getting better and this book reinforces why water is such a precious resource, which we often take for granted.

By Amazon Customer As an avid open-minded reader, I have taken in many titles such as LaVay's Satanic Bible, and satanic handbook. Both of these I have found wanting. Filled with dogmatic garble, and principles of greed and the lust for power, I was unfulfilled with the direction at both of these titles were going in. In contrast, the new enlightenment I found from the logical concepts covered in Damian's satanic narratives, have opened a new perspective to a concept I had not yet involve myself with, atheistic Satanism. To forgo the belief in a deity, for good or evil, and to logically abandon all superstitious beliefs, and hold to the 7 principles titles as tenths, from the newly formed satanic temple or, TST. To remove these superstitions from one's life and to avoid the unnecessary thought that goes into perceiving an imaginary deity, frees oneself to explore the nature of kindness without expectations of personal gain, yet still allowing for the fulfillment of the quest for knowledge and enlightenment to exist. I believe this book would be an easy guide for anyone who wishes to free themselves from the chains of mind viruses caused by the belief in superstitious dogmatic principles that come from all religions, whether they be perceived as good or perceived as evil by the general public. Well written, and concise, to the point, easy to understand, and a good read. I would recommend this book of narratives to anyone who is open minded and seeking truth and the enlightment of knowledge. Well done.

By Amazon Customer I was able to meet the author and received this book; I thought it was an excellent read. I am neither here nor there when it comes to religion, and I believe it is a good book to give someone an introduction to what it is, the viewpoints, and it makes you think. I of course recommend​ it as a read to everyone.

Superior to The Satanic Bible with its easily digestible chapters, genius use of demonic archetypes, and wholly relatable down-to-Earth guidance without the ritual and drama that caused the Satanic bible to be sneered at and ridiculed. I keep this book in my jacket pocket for fast and easy reference. I now find myself constantly quoting this book, and recommending it to friends almost daily. Not even bothered by the misspelling of "per se" on page five.

By Big Daddy I bought this book as a gift for a young blacksmith ... he us very pleased with it! It has been about 65 years since I last moved a workpiece from the fire to the anvil, and I bought this book to relive my old memories and transfer them to a young man who is operating his own forge shop. Both he and I are pleased with this addition to our respective libraries!This is not a recently authored book, but the contents are, really, timeless!Lots of good, practical; information for the practicing blacksmith!

Thomas Gagliano earned a BA from Seton Hall University and an MSW from Rutgers University. By Thomas Law We have all been children and are the results, for good or bad, of our homes of origin. Unfortunately, dysfunctionality is rampant in our society and our families carry the brunt of that mess. Since our children learn how to “parent” their children from us we, too often, pass our dysfunctional characteristics on to the next generation and so on. It is time to put a stop to this process and develop healthy self-aware and self-actualizing children who can do the same for their children. In this new book by Thomas Gagliano describes these dysfunctional traits in clear understandable, sometime humorous, formats. I read it from cover to cover and I don't usually read or review books but this is one that I wanted to read.The book covers a variety of topics about parenthood, including how the parents' childhoods can affect them as adults, and how they can pass on dysfunctional behaviors to their children. There's also a lot of talk about bullying and what part kids can play (bully, victim, bystander, etc) and why they might do it based on the messages they get from home (their parents). The book also talks about solutions to overcome dysfunction and "clean up your crap"... but you must first become aware of the "crap".Bottom line is that this book will help you with set good boundaries that create healthy habits so that your kids can make healthy decisions, and do it on their own.I don't think there's much else I can say that isn't already said in the book's description or in the other reviews. I'm just going to say that I thought this was a very good book overall and would definitely recommend it, especially to parents.NOTE: I was sent a free product sample for review. The title of the book certainly gets your attention (!), but when you start reading it, you realize the author provides concrete help with the most important and difficult job we all have--being a better parent to your kids than the parenting you received. This volume shows you how to avoid the family cycles of dysfunction, and enable your children to experience a healthy, loving sense of self that you didn't have. It's hard work, but he shows you than it can be done. An encouraging, excellent read!
